| SALTWATER BIRCHES BY RANDY WALKER |
SANTA FE• Crossing Boundaries, a show of innovative, contemporary glasswork, opens May 2 at Manitou Galleries. The show includes works by eight artists. Five of them are Washington-based artists—Niko Dimitrijevic, Kelly O’Dell, Ross Richmond, Raven Skyriver, and Randy Walker—who have worked, taught, and/or studied at the famed Pilchuck Glass School. The other three are New Mexico-based artists Liz Wolf, Kim Goldfarb, and Hib Sabin, who are known for their three-dimensional work in other media and who made their first pieces in glass for the show. All of the pieces were blown and hot-sculpted (not cast or mold-blown) at Pilchuck specifically for this show. Meet the artists at an opening reception on Friday, May 2, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Their works are on display through May 16. For more information: 505.986.0440 or www.manitougalleries.com.
